Implementation Plan

Please follow the below steps to move dumplv from hdisk1 to hdisk0:

Step 1: To determine dumplv device present on which disk
# lslv -l dumplv

Step 2: Check whether sysdump is configured as primary or secondary
# sysdumpdev -l

Step 3: Lets assume system dump configured as primrary, then set primary to “sysdumpnull”
# sysdumpdev -Pp /dev/sysdumpnull

Step 4: Moving the dumplv from hdisk1 to hdisk0
# migratepv -l dumplv hdisk1 hdisk0

Step 5: Change back primary to dumplv
# sysdumpdev -Pp /dev/dumplv

Test Plan

Check whether sysdump is configured as primary or secondary

# sysdumpdev -l

 

Backout Plan

Step 1: To determine dumplv device present on which disk
# lslv -l dumplv

Step 2: Check whether sysdump is configured as primary or secondary
# sysdumpdev -l

Step 3: Lets assume system dump configured as primrary, then set primary to “sysdumpnull”
# sysdumpdev -Pp /dev/sysdumpnull

Step 4: Moving the dumplv from hdisk0 to hdisk1
# migratepv -l dumplv hdisk0 hdisk1

Step 5: Change back primary to dumplv
# sysdumpdev -Pp /dev/dumplv
